Lily loves visiting her grandfather’s small garden behind the house. Every morning, the air is cool, and the birds sing softly. Her grandfather teaches her how to water the plants, pull out weeds, and check the soil.
One morning, Lily notices a tiny green tomato on a plant. It is small and hard. She asks, “Grandpa, can we eat it today?” He smiles and says, “Not yet, dear. Good fruit needs time. Let us care for it every day.”
So Lily visits the garden daily. She waters the plant, removes insects, and keeps the soil clean. Days pass, and the small tomato slowly turns orange and then bright red. Lily feels proud.
One week later, her grandfather picks the ripe tomato and gives it to her. “This,” he says, “is the fruit of your patience.”
Lily tastes it. It is sweet and fresh. She learns that patient work brings good results not only in the garden but also in life.
